Got a great deal! A review of Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland Downtown
I booked this through hotwire (my first time using the site), i got the room for $54 + tax and i was SO happy with the hotel, it was much nicer than i thought it would be, i would have expected to pay about $100 a night.
Hotel: Very very nice, clean, lobby was nice. Good food at the hotel restaurant (kind of pricy but usual for a hotel), nice bar, the workout facilities were better than ive seen at most hotels. The pool was nice.
Room: Very clean, the bathroom had marble counter and massage shower head, neutrogena bath products, nice comfortable bed (allthough the pillows were really squishy), great view of Jacob's field. Microwave and fridge were great.
Location, right in downtown across the street from Jacob's field (where the Indians play), we walked to Rock and Roll hall of fame it was about a mile.
Problems: The only reason this hotel didnt get 5 stars i because you have to pay $14 a night to park, and they dont tell you that when you check in! I was very upset about that. The only other thing i didnt like about this was not the hotels fault. Downtown Cleveland has a lot of homeless people begging for money, on our walk down the the RRHF we must have passed 20! Besides that, all the buildings around the hotel are closed up banks and office buildings, you have to drive a ways to get to anything that is open like shopping areas.
