Gorgeous Hotel A review of Sofitel Brussels Europe
What a lovely hotel. We only paid 95 Euros per night to stay in a luxurious modern hotel, not sure if this was an introductory rate as the hotel has just opened (back of door said rack rate 450 Euros per night!).
Reception area very minimalist and clean, there was also a beautiful small lounge area just off the reception. Rooms were gorgeous, all clean lines and white bedding. View from the window was over the central atrium area of the hotel. Luxurious bathroom with slippers, robe and lovely smelly toiletries. All linens changed daily and room kept immaculate. The only one small complaint would be that the beds were too hot! They had a duvet over you and what felt like a duvet under you so you slept in a sort of cocoon which was very cosy but got stiflingly hot, despite the air con.
The hotel is in the business area but only 10 mins to the metro and the square opposite offers a great selection of places to eat. There is also a pretty park opposite with a lovely lake and a jogging track (if you feel so inclined!).
Staff were very helpful and friendly (with impeccable English) and the breakfast was great - useful tip - if you want a fry up just ask the staff, it's not laid out in the 'buffet' but is included in the price!
