Gorgeous hotel close to West End A review of The Fairmont Dallas
I've stayed at this hotel several times when business or pleasure brings me to Dallas. You feel quality as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is very friendly and attentive - always with a smile. The rooms are spotless and immense - with two doubles, television, table and chairs, and en suite bathroom. The room service is top notch serving until the early hours of the morning, I believe on my last visit I ordered a vanilla shake at 3 am and it was there in 5 minutes. In regards to it's proximity to bars and restaurants, the hotel is centrally located in the ARTS district. You are now less than 0.4 miles to the Dallas World Aquarium, Dallas Museum of Art, American Airlines Arena (where the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks play), and West End (sort of a restaurant/bar row). One of the number one steak houses in the country is located only 4 miles away (Bob's Chop and Steak House 4300 Lemmon Avenue). Other ammenities include the Pyramid Grill which serves a delicious Sunday brunch. The pool is Olympic-sized and perfect during the right time of year (they even have a pool-side snack bar).
I travel quite frequently throughout the U.S. and abroad and this hotel is one of my favorites. In Dallas you cannot beat the price considering it's grand atmosphere, it's central location downtown, and quality service.
The only potential negatives are the pricey food charges (but tell me a hotel that doesn't upcharge it's alcohol and food).
