Good Value, but . . . A review of Artmore Hotel
Stayed 2 nights for a wedding weekend (hotel was selected by the bride and groom, because the hotel was willing to reserve a large block of rooms and the price was reasonable for a diverse group of OOT guests). The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they can only do so much with this particular property. The suites have a decent layout but were a bit dingy (euphemistically referred to in other reviews as "charming"), and the bathrooms were tiny. Our second floor, streetside suite was fine, but lots of street noise from traffic, valet parking, etc. The common areas were small and somewhat awkward, although we made the best of the "Club" for complementary breakfast and cocktails. The underground parking "garage" was an adventure, even for our mid-size SUV. I think I set a new personal record with a "16 point turn" trying to get into a space one night. Overall, sort of a typical "Best Western" stay . . good, not great. Given the reasonable pricing and the good service, though, it would be hard to complain.
