Good value and great location. A review of Cambridge Gateway Inn
I stayed here in February 2006 on a business trip and would stay here again in a heart beat.. The hotel was only a five minute walk to were I was staying so this was a big plus. When I first arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect due to the fact that the receptionist at the clients location, was the one who had booked this for me. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a freindly desk clerk who gave me a room in the middle of the building just as I requested. The room was clean, and very spacious compared to other hotels of higher standards that I've stayed in. The lamp didn't work but I found it to be unplugged and just plugged it in to find that was all that needed to be done. I stayed here on a consulting job for a week and found the microwave and micro fridge to be very usefull. The only problem worth mentioning is that they don't serve cereal in the morning which I have to have but found the bagels, muffins and fresh fruits to be more then enough to get me off in the morning. The coffee was really good too according to one of the other guests in the lobby but I wouldn't know since I only drink tea. I really enjoyed the use of their wireless internet signal as well which is a must have for people in my line of work and they offer all this as part of their room rate unlike most of the other hotels who charge a fee for this. Recommended to others? Yes, but don't expect to get a five star hotel! This is an economy hotel and worth every penny for all the comforts they offer included in the price.
