Good overall hotel experience A review of Hyatt Regency Tampa
I was in Tampa for a week and the Hyatt Regency was one of the host hotels. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. On my first night I noticed the air conditioner was making a weird noise. The next morning I informed the front desk, and by the time I returned, the problem was fixed. Bob, the engineer, even left me a handwritten note with his card, in case I had any further problems. The room was what I would expect from a Hyatt. Nice size, clean, king bed was ok. Ordered room service pretty much every night, and they were always friendly and prompt. The food never took longer than 30 minutes. They have turndown service every night, which I usually declined since I was in the room (but they offered me chocolate mints anyway :) Only complaint I have is that the valet is $13 a day! I asked about self parking and they told me it was $9 a day, and I wouldn't be able to take my car in and out. So I was forced to valet (for 5 days!). There is a bar and resturant, but I didn't spend much time in either. BUT they do have a starbucks downstairs, which I enjoyed.
