Good location, Good staff A review of Marriott New York at the Brooklyn Bridge
Have used this Hotel 3 times. Including a stay for a family wedding.
Great location ,just over the bridge and next to the courthouse (where they film law and order). Brooklyn Heights has a "neighborhood feel" but with a concrete flavor.Weekend open market in courthouse square, Great local restaurants with just about every ethnic group represented.
We had the best Italian dinner since our trip Sorrento, just 3 blocks away (sorry don't remember name). Jacques Torrez chocolate factory was a hit with the kids, and there are some neat old Pubs around too. Just ask the staff. The hotel is clean, well run , and has great rates for parking $15.00.The whole staff is particularly helpful and the bellmen will get you a limo or cab to anywhere in minutes. They negotiate price and our trip to central park Zoo was $22.00 for 4 people. Subways are close too. They have weekend and Senior deals for around $159 which is pretty good for this type of digs in the city. The food in house is pretty good but pricey. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was around 18.00 each . Nice fresh omlets but you can also get great stuff from the vendors just outside the front entrance. For about $5.00 you'll be stuffed.
