Good location and facilities A review of Fredericksburg Inn & Suites
We stayed at Fredricksburg Inn and Suites on March 15 and 16, 2006, renting two rooms. The facility consists of several buildings, a couple of which are relatively new, and the others being older. We were in the older section. The rooms were standard motel rooms, but clean and comfortable. The facility has a couple of very nice pools and a hot tub, which are nicely arranged. The grounds are spacious, about five acres, and adjoin a small stream. The impression given is of being in the country, although the central Fredricksburg area is a five minute walk away. We were travelling with four children, and they loved the pool, which contained a slide. A small playground is also on site. There is an outdoor fireplace adjacent to the pool, but it could not be used due to extreme fire danger in that part of Texas. A downside is that the area available for the included breakfast is rather small for the size of the facility; there is an outdoor patio area with several tables that could be used if the weather is warm enough, but even then there isn't enough space for breakfast. The breakfast itself is adequate, but it would be an improvement if some pastries or rolls could be added, as there are a number of good bakeries in town. All in all, I would rate this facility a very good choice for those wishing to visit Fredricksburg and the hill country. We would definitely return.
