Good hotel but need to work on the little details A review of Renaissance Asheville Hotel
There was a lot i liked about my stay here. I had a wonderful view from
the floor to ceiling windows in my room, the food in the restuarant was
inventive and very tasty, the service and the front desk was very
efficient at check in and a check out.
That doesn't mean that my stay was perfect. Parking seems to be VERY limited, there was a used champange bucket outside my room at the time of check in that was not removed for 18 hours. There were tops from the liquor bottles from the mini bar on the floor beside the mini bar. The air conditioning in the room seems to be very limited in the amount of cooling it will do before shutting off (not a good thing with the floor to ceiling glass mentioned above). There was only 1 server working in the resturant both nights i was there and they needed help. I did not see a manager around either night to lend a hand during the little busy time they had even to meet and greet other guests who sometimes stood waiting to even see an employee for 5 minutes or so. The bathroom, while well appointed and maintained, was so tiny that i could barely close the door without hitting myself with it.
They could have an excellent product if there was an effort to pay
attention to the little details but none of the little issues would
prevent me from staying there again and the full service options in
Asheville are pretty limited to begin with.
