Good Hotel at Good Price A review of Hotel Victoria

Stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights last week (28,29,30th). Booked it through lastminute and got B&B for £25 night (for 2 people). The room was typical travelodge style, but was clean and quiet (more about that later!!), Satelite TV was a waste of time, only 2 english speaking channels CNN and Bloomberg. Buffet style breakfast, cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, 4 types of bread/rolls, hot sausages, boiled eggs, yoghurts, fruit juices, tea, coffee, cakes!!!! quite a selection. The Hotel is on a tram line, the stop is about 50yds down the road - from tram stop to Wencelas Sq. tram stop took 4 mins, walking took about 20 mins. Right, the quiet bit - we were fairly lucky in that we had a room that faced the side street ( see picture ), but we still heard every tram, god knows what it was like in the rooms that faced the main street. There was a tram about every 10 mins, 30 mins after midnight - but, after the 1st night, we got used to the sound. On the ground floor corner is a restuarant/bar that is part of the Hotel - it is called Kure v Hodinkach. Beer was 20CZK (50p)for half litre, typical meal of chicken with veg or pork chops with veg was about £5. All in all, reasonable hotel and restuarant, not too far out of city centre
