Good hotel, although pricey A review of Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark
Just got back today from a three-day trip to Great Escape Lodge. Very nice place, lots of Adirondack decor. The water park was nice, although got a little stale after only a little while, although my two daughters (8 and 5) seemed to love every minute in there. The rooms were nice, clean and the beds comfy. There's still a lot of construction going on, mainly landscaping and the expansion of the amusement park across the street but the hotel itself is in full running order. The only complaint I have was the service in the restaurant on the main floor, run by what looks to be mostly kids who left us sitting for quite awhile before getting to us, although the food was pretty good once we got it. On the whole, probably not worth the over $300 per night so not sure whether we'll be back.
