Good for families A review of Homewood Suites Seattle-Downtown
We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Seattle-Downtown this past weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The all-suite hotel is good for families like ours with older children. The included breakfasts were good, but the serving area was crowded with all the guests.
It's not really downtown, but the monorail (a short walk from the hotel) or a short taxi ride will get you downtown in minutes.
If you are offered a room on the first floor, make sure it is far away from the breakfast area, unless you usually arise at the crack of dawn.
We had a room that was right next to the serving area, and it was so noisy that it sounded like breakfast was being served IN our room!
We asked for a room change and one of the staff members was very unhelpful and unsympathetic, but later my wife talked to another staff member and he immediately assigned us to another room. My wife can be more persuasive.
We travel to Seattle fairly often and will probably stay here again, but will insist on a room above the first floor.
