Good, but will be even better after working out the kinks! A review of Radisson Hotel Bloomington by Mall of America
I stayed there with my 2 sons -an older teenager and a young adult. They loved the water park and spent every minute there that they could. They also enjoyed the exercise room which has windows overlooking the park. The hotel and the room itself were clean and attractive. We had to wait until about 4:30 or 5:00 in the afternoons to have our room cleaned and our linens exchanged which is much longer than I have ever waited in other hotels. They are quite chintsy with the toiletries and paper cups, coffee etc. Local calls will cost 75 cents and there is no payphone in the entire hotel which we found quite inconvenient. The bunk beds were far too small and would only be appropriate for those under 10. The sofa sleeper bed was horribly uncomfortable but the main king bed was great. If you need complete darkness to sleep don't choose a pool side room- they keep the water park lights on all night and the drapes block very little of it. Also, one morning we were awakened before 7:30 by the staff having fun in the surf-rider/wakeboarding ride; not very professional. But the desk staff was very courteous and Robert went out of his way to accommodate us. We did not eat in the hotel as we found their prices quite high but there are many restaurants within a few minutes drive. We usually stay in hotels that offer continental breakfasts so that is one thing we wish they would implement but at least they have fridges and microwaves in every room. We used our CAA membership to get a great rate and paid only $99. Passes to the park are extra.
