Good Basic Accommodation A review of Hotel Olympik Tristar
My fiance and I visited the Olympik Tristar in November 2005. The hotel itself is 20 minutes from the Airport and there are plenty of taxis available to take you to your destination.
The Olympik Tristar is located within a residential suburb of Prague and has excellent tram and metro links to Prague Centre. The nearest Metro Station "Invalidovna" is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Travel tickets can be bought fron the station of from the hotel reception.
We found the rooms to be basic but comfortable. We didnt spend much time in our rooms as we found that there were so many taverna's, bars and restaurants to explore. The TV also doesnt pick up all the listed channels, I dont think I have ever watched so much CNN!!
The breakfast buffet was ok but for the fussy eater it may be pertinent to travel into town and find a cosy taverna offering breakfat crepes or full english breakfasts.
The mini bar is also very reasonable but I would recommend visiting the local supermarket next to the metro station as their prices for all groceries were very cheap.
The Olympik Tristar is an excellent base of operations when exploring Prague.
