Give it a Rest A review of Hilton Providence
This is being written 11/02. The reservation staff won't tell you that you won't be able to reach the hotel by exiting at Exit 21 without being involved in a major traffic jam due to construction on the bridge; it took me 45 minutes to go from the highway up the ramp, and another 10 min to get to hotel(all w/in sight). Also, the hotel staff won't tell you that parking is 12$ a day per vehicle, the parking garage (not owned by the hotel, but the only one you have access to) is dirty, cramped and dangerous (no access from lower levels to hotel, you must climb the endless ramp). When it rains huge standing pools of water block your entrance to the parking garage, so that it is impossible to reach your car without getting your shoes wet. The food here is really really terrible, as was the service-breakfast, lunch or dinner-we polled several guests in our party.
