For the money, it was kay A review of Christie Lodge

My husband and I were on an extremely brief visit to Avon/Vail, for 2 nights. We were meeting family in town who all stayed over at the Sheraton Mountain Vista. As they were booked by the time we made our reservation, we ended up at Christie Lodge.

The sleeping area of the room was a bit on the small side, but that wasn't a problem, as the living area, while small, was comfortable. There was a small refrigerator whose motor was quite loud, sounding almost like a dishwasher was running.

Water pressure in the shower was low, but not the worst I've seen.

Also, we were right next to the higway, and the noise was quite noticeable when the back screen door was opened. We did keep it open, as it was rather warm, and there was no AC. Luckily, there were two floor fans provided that kept the temp at a reasonable level.

At night, you could hear the other guests through the walls, especially people walking down the main corridor.

All in all, it wasn't too bad for a husband and wife on a quickie trip, especially for the money. If I had my choice, though, I'd cough up the extra $40, and stay just down the road at the Sheraton.
