For business or pleasure A review of Airotel Alexandros
While definitely a business type hotel due to the hotel's proximity to many embassies including the VERY well fortified American embassy, this is still a comfortable, unprentious stay for the tourist as well. The building is new; thus the rooms and public areas are modern looking with the not unattractive use of glass and metals to tart up the public areas. The breakfast is really tasty, offering both western and greek specialities. If you like good strong coffee, this is the place. Rooms are good sized, clean, efficiently laid out and have balconies. Most look onto the ancient church which fronts the horse shoe driveway to the hotel. The hotel is not in the center/plaka area but the subway is a five minute walk and just a few stops from everything. There are shops and restaurants everywhere in close proximity. The Alexandros is a good stay for safety, comfort and accessibility to services. Highly recommended.
