Five Diamond Award? Not in a Million Years!! A review of Conrad Miami
After researching places to stay in Miami, we decided to book a weekend at Conrad Miami. We were impressed with Miami and the Brickell area. The Espirito Santo Plaza, which houses the hotel is quite beautiful. The doormen did not greet us with a warm and sincere welcome we have experienced at other upscale hotels, after taking two sets of elevators to reached our room, which offered us wonderful views of a construction site. The front desk staff was incredibly inexperienced, uncertained and fustratingly slow. The in-room dining was the worst experience, which required us to eat at Azul, which is at another nearby hotel. No greetings from the housekeeping staff. When asking simple questions about the ammenities, the housekeepers were not well-informed. Parking was ridiculously
expensive. While, the concierge desk was quite helpful, the overall experience was poor and not worth the money.
If ever in Miami in the future, we will be certain not to stay at Conrad Miami. The city has many other upscale hotels that we will experience. We can only compare this hotel to an interstate hotel such as: Howard Johnson or Holiday Inn.
