Fine for business travellers or short stays A review of Crowne Plaza Danbury
Stayed overnight recently in a nonsmoking king room at the end of the hall. There were guests in the surrounding rooms (all had Do Not Disturb on their doors) but never heard them. The desk staff were friendly. It was fairly busy with wedding reception guests milling about but this did not detract from our stay. This is a hotel where the "locals" have wedding receptions, where business conferences are held, and where holiday overflow guests stay. It's not "resort quality" and the lobby could probably use some renovation as it looks a bit run down. There is a small area with pool tables in the lobby that is not closed off. The restaurant/breakfast buffet is so-so, not very much offered but fine if you're just looking to eat and run. There is an indoor pool but we didn't use it. The bed was nice, not too soft or firm. The bathroom and room was in generally good condition. There was a coffeemaker and a complimentary bottle of water. It's convenient to the Interstate and you can't hear any road noise. Overall ok.
