Fantastic Location A review of Aitutaki Lagoon Resort & Spa
You can't fail to be blown away by this magical tropical lagoon when you see it from the air for the first time - it is simply stunning. A turqouise lagoon fringed with coral reef and a string of green islands with white sandy beaches. The lagoon cruise is a must to explore some of the smaller islands and to snorkel.
The resort itself was having major work completed to the pool, reception and main restaurant area when we stayed in August but these were nearing completion and were not too intrusive, although we missed a proper pool and the beach restaurant was rather exposed on windy days.
We really enjoyed staying here and our deluxe beachfront bungalow was superb and very spacious. Massive double sliding glass doors made up most of the wall facing the lagoon and our own deck with loungers.
Service in the restaurant was friendly if a little slow on occasions and the food was of a high quality. We would certainly recommend this resort and to spend more time here than on Rarotonga which is not as nice as this.
