Fantastic location at a great price. A review of Floor Hotel
Just come back from a 4 day break in Prague where we stayed in the Floor Hotel.
On first impression you do worry about the location of the hotel. It's based on the very busy Na Prikope pedestrian shopping area, just yards from the bustling Wenceslas Square. Our initial worries were totally unfounded.
The reception is small and bright, all very modern. Check in was swift and efficient and done by a friendly English speaking woman.
We were given a room on the 3rd floor. The lift was small, but big enough for two people with luggage. The landings were well furnished with some lovely chandeliers and plush carpet.
The room we booked was supposedly a suite, having not had the chance to look in another room we can only presume it was what we had booked.
The wardrobe didn't have many hangers, but it had plenty of space. Inside the wardrobe was a free safe, which I'm sure everyone would find extremely useful. The bathroom was the centrepiece of the room. A large Jacuzzi bath and separate shower cubicle. Plentiful mirrors and space to keep your toiletries. Also the bathroom had under floor heating.
The bed itself was huge and comfortable, probably room enough for 4 people! It was comfortable although the duvet did seem a little small for the bed, the lack of extra pillows was also a disappointment, but I am sure if we had asked we would have been given more.
The room was a little dark, as it only had two small skylight type windows. Big TV with English speaking news channels in the room too.
The breakfast was continental. Plentiful supply of breads, hams, cheeses, salads etc. They also served hot tomatoes, sausages and bacon. Selection of hot drinks too.
As soon as we started to explore we realised that the hotel was in an absolutely perfect location. About 5 minutes stroll to the old town square. Nowhere you would want to see is outside of walking distance from this hotel. Maybe because we went in March the noise issue was never a problem. Maybe later in the year when Wenceslas becomes a Stag Party haven it might be.
All in all an excellent, clean, comfortable hotel with a perfect location for a first time visitor wanting to fit everything in.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
