Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location A review of Elite Hotel
My boyfriend and I visited the hotel in November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you want to be between the old and new parts of Prague, you couldn't wish for a better location. The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are really well decorated and furnished. The building is very old and has a wealth of character. Breakfast was pretty good, I was dreading the continental style but there was plenty on offer.Just round the corner from the hotel is an underground station and you can also get most trams from the main road. I felt aprehensive about using the public transport as I didn't have a clue where anything was but my boyfriend thought we should experience it and they are actually so simple and cheap, make sure you stamp your ticket though! The old town square is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel which is ideal. Charles Bridge also takes about 5-10 minutes. Tesco is round the corner and there is also a TGI Friday's!Tip for those visiting Prague for the first time - if you want to experience food and drink at unbelievably cheap prices, just walk away from the tourist areas. We found a pizzeria and both had a pizza each and a glass of wine each for under £5.00 in total! We went with Thomas Cook Signature holidays but are going to book it ourselves next time and will certainly be using this hotel again.
