Fantasic Hotel A review of Relais Ravestein
I have recently returned from a weekend at the Hotel Relais Ravestein in Brugge and what a treat it was. Early on a Saturday morning myself and two friends boarded the Eurostar in London and by midday we were checking into our beautiful hotel in Brugge. After an exhaustive day site seeing around beautiful Brugge (and it is very beautiful) we returned to the hotel for coffee and wine in the downstairs bar, which is served with meticulous attention to detail and there is no better place to be enjoying a drink or meal than on the hotels large canal front deck, which captures all the afternoon sun and was buzzing with hip 30 somethings enjoying themselves as we were. Whilst we didnt eat dinner at the hotel, the menu looked amazing. The hotel is in a very central location and Yves, the hotel manager gives you maps and recommends the most fabulous local restaurants that you would never find on your own, and that made our trip so special. The hotel is modern and funky yet maintains the original wooden frames of the original building. Parketry, crisp white cotton, private huge spas, and designer fittings make this hotel very impressive. The hotel and professional staff are really what made our weekend to Brugge the success that it was. I wouldnt contemplate staying anywhere else.
