Fabulous!!! A review of Beechwood Inn
Upon arriving in Clayton, Georgia (we are from California) we were in love with the town's unpretentious charm. As we drove onto the drive the Beechwood Inn is breathtaking, but its mysteries are yet to unfold for you. For it wasn't until we explored the Inn that we found the outside to be very rectangular shaped while the inside had many angles, doors, and stairs making you feel you could have been transported into California's Winchester Mystery House.
The owners Gail and David Darugh are notable chefs and fine wine connoisseurs making your visit equal to visiting a 5 star restaurant. I cannot give you one favorite that we ate. The freshly picked berries from the Inns garden served with a morning Blintz or for dinner we ate including Stuffed Tenderloin and twice baked potatoes with grilled asparagus. Oh, my!
After a reminiscent moment I am reminded of Scupper the Inn's famous wonder dog. And yes I said famous. Scupper has been on the cover of a magazine and shown in local artwork. The notoriety has not gone to Scuppers head though; she still enjoys a pat from us visitors just as she always had done before.
It will be hard to tear yourself away from the inn, but please take in some of the areas wonderful sites. You can visit their website for ideas at --------
