Fabulous City of Spires Views A review of Golden Well (U Zlate Studne)

This small hotel, converted from the one time home of the astronomer/scientist Tycho, is nestled between Prague Castle and the Castle gardens, just an easy 10 minute walk to the Bridge. Recent renovations have brought modern conveniences that elevate this hotel to one of the best I have stayed in. The windows in our room provided almost 180 degree views of the incredible historical district of Prague and you could truely see why the city is called the City of Spires. The staff was professional, pleasant, and courteous; always empowered to provide the best of service with the least hassle. The rooftop restaurant was a bit pricey, but the quality of the food was top notch, varied dishes with an excellent selection of local wines. In keeping with the rest of the staff, the wait staff were helpful and attentive without hovering. I would also recommend having the hotel set up a walking tour...our package included this and we were thrilled to see some of the less popular areas.
