Extremely subpar A review of The Elms Hotel and Spa
My husband and I purchased a romance package at the Elms for our 26th wedding anniversary. We will be celebrating somewhere else so we have something pleasant to remember. The massage at the spa was the absolute worst I've ever received. It was not relaxing, pleasant or soothing. I was glad when it was over. I should have followed my instinct and asked the therapist to stop before she even started. It was awful from the first stroke. The food at dinner took FOREVER, was greasy and cold.
Housekeeping forgot to do the turn down service so they knocked on our door at 10:30 pm to try to do it and to deliver the champagne they were supposed to have left. The room was old, the door didn't even fit the frame so you could see in from the hall and the toilet ran constantly.
Breakfast was supposed to be included but we decided to just get a bagel at Panera Bread instead. We wrote an evaluation related all these events. The desk cleark told us that we would definitely hear from management about compensation but we have not received a call. I would not recommend this hotel or spa to anyone wishing a good experience.
