Expected Better A review of The Westin Westminster

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our Anniversary in August 2004. I researched several hotels in the area/Denver. We decided to go with the Westin since they are known for their comfy beds. I have a hard time sleeping in most hotel beds. And the bed was indeed comfortable! The only other hotel I've stayed at that had a better bed was at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. But it is much more expensive. The double head shower at the Westin was very nice as well. The only problem was that I expected more of a room, it wasn't very big at all. And I thought that the Hotel lobby and the room decor and furniture were just average for such a fairly new hotel. If you can...get a west facing room with a view of the mountains and a room above the 6 or 7 floor. We were on the 4 floor, faced east and had an awful few of the lower roof! We didn't even want to open the curtains it was so bad. But on the upside the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was also very good. It's really close to D&B, a theatre, a few restaurants, and only 15 minutes or so from Flatirons Crossing mall.
