My husband, I, and our 2 1/2 year old son stayed at the Bloomington Hospitality Inn & Suites over Memorial Day weekend 2004. I had booked the room after an Internet search of hotels close to the Mall of America that were reasonably priced. I am still amazed that we were able to stay at this hotel over a very busy weekend for $53/night. Every room includes a microwave, frig, and vcr...all valuable amenities when traveling with a small child. The Interstates and Mall of America are easily accessible, and this is what we were looking for as our trip was planned around taking our son to Camp Snoopy. The hotel also has a good-sized indoor pool and hot tub that we enjoyed. There is also an Embers restaurant attached to the hotel, which we did not try, but it might be a perk for some travelers. Our only complaint was the fact that the shower was lukewarm at best. I'm not sure if this is a common occurance, or if it was just a fluke. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the budget-minded traveler!
