Excellent service A review of Hotel Le Palais Prague
Le Palais is a small, 60 room, recently opened hotel. It is a member of the Small Leading Hotels of the World and the service is excellent.
Upon check in we were shown all the public rooms so we didn't have to go in search of anything. We were shown the lobby bar, the library where a lovely log fire was burning and the restaurant before being invited to have a welcome drink in the lobby. The room was a bit of a dissapointment. It was very small, as was the the bathroom, and cluttered. The bed was excellent with two single duvets and huge feather pillows. There is a complimentary mini bar as well as the dressing gowns, slippers etc. Wardrobe space is virtually non-existent.
Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The hotel is set in a quiet area and is a good half hour walk away from the Old Town but the hotel runs a limousine service which will take you there for aprox £8 or there is a metro for aprox 50 pence. The hotel also provides a transfer service to andfrom the airport for aprox £19 each way.
