Excellent location, very nice hotel A review of Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce - Luxe Worldwide Hotel
My family of four stayed at the Bourgoensche Cruyce in March 2004 for 2 nights. We had two standard double rooms. It appears that two rooms on each floor overlook the canal and the third does not- our two rooms did not. Our rooms were large, clean and reasonably well appointed- certainly not luxurious but nice. Bathroom was new looking, nice size with separate toilet. Good stand-up, U.S. style shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Almost all the natives in Bruges speak four languages so communication was absolutely great. Location was perfect- on the canal and one block from the main square. You can walk from one end of the historic district to the other in about 20 minutes so any location in the central part of Bruges would be fine. The most photographed vantage point in Bruges is around the corner from the hotel with the B. Cruyce in the center of the shot with the canal as the foreground and the Bell Tower rising above. We loved Bruges- it is good for about 2 days of leisurely touring. Liked it much better than Brussels which beside the Grand Place is not very interesting. Overall, we loved the BC and would stay there again but would prefer one of the rooms on the canal, if available.
