Excellent Experience! Only good things to say... A review of The Diplomat Hotel
We found this hotel online and got a room for under $100 a night in September. It was one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere, and I'd highly recommend it. My boyfriend was really worried about going to Prague because he considered the Czech Republic to be more of a second world country. He was very relieved when we arrived at the hotel.
Visitors arriving at the airport have to take a cab (highly risky) or bus into the city. This hotel is perfectly located right in front of the airport bus stop so you don't have to bother dragging your luggage onto the subway. It isn't in the city center, but it only takes a couple stops and maybe five minutes to get into the city by subway.
Luckily, it's even close enough to buy the cheapest subway tickets.
Breakfast was awesome! Forget about the dry croissants and butter served at some European hotels. This place has a full buffet including eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, cheeses, fruits, cereals, yogurt, breads, pastries, juices, coffee, and more. This was a huge relief because we filled up at breakfast and could go out to enjoy the sites rather than worry about finding food. Our room was clean with modern furnishings and even an outlet that fit my American plugs. Forget about the cheap hotel bedspreads. We had a large, fluffy duvet and feather pillows.
Search the web for the best prices on this place and go. Our stay was very convenient and worry free. The only thing missing was a pool, but you're in Prague so do you really need one?
