Even better than the last visit A review of Wequassett Resort and Golf Club
This was our second trip to the Wequassett in three years and our family of four (two boys 14 and 11) took full advantage of everything this resort offered (even though it cost extra!) If you don't mind spending more than you anticipated, this is the place for you as it's easily one of the most scenic resorts you'll experience anywhere. The pool is beautifully situated on a point with views of the the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. The food is outstanding (five star) at the main dining room and at the Grille/poolside. The Boston Whaler we rented for the hour took us to a group of seals (the highlight of the trip). The surf bikes and kayaks were rented daily near the pool. The room we stayed in was costly at $750 but big enough for our family. It was newly decorated with attractive furnishings with a big bathroom which made the sticker shock easier to swallow. Our patio had brand new lounge chairs and the view of the bay with a big green lawn in front of us was pretty. The only potential problem was that our room had a connecting door with two of the other three units in our building. The noise level is beyond what it should be at this price. Luckily the cute, giggly baby next door went to sleep at 9 and everything seemed ok (but beware). The cleaning staff was excellent and delivered new towels in a timely manner. The concierge desk is second to none! Great dinner and beach recommendations with printed directions. Go to Bucas, a nearby Italian restaurant that has risen to be the best in the area. Golf at the private Cape Cod National (available to resort guests) was fun for the boys.
