Enjoyable Stay, Busy Place A review of Caribbean Cove Hotel & Conference Center
I had the occasion to stay at the Holiday Inn Select near the Pyramids in Indy during the month of April, 2003. I arrived on a Friday evening, and business was booming. I had been assigned a room near the Holidome area, but the desk clerk informed me it would be quite noisy and offered to change it if I so desired. I did! I was placed on an upper floor and thus away from the noise of the children utilizing the pool, etc.
I appreciate the fact the clerk was proactive in reassigning me, because I certainly would not have been happy had I been placed near the Holidome.
The room was well furnished, with plenty of coffee, bath items, and nice, fluffy towels, too. Parking on Friday night was tight, but I managed to locate a space not far from an entrance, in a well lit area.
On Saturday, parking was much easier. This hotel is located very close to Interstate 465 and Interstate 65 is minutes away. This is extremely convenient. A myriad of restaurants and shopping is close by -- some in walking distance. The hotel itself has dining, which I took advantage of on Saturday, and was very pleased. Breakfast was delivered on time to my room and had a great flavor. The person delivering the food was gracious and welcoming.
I found the room to be of great value for the price, when the location, amenities, and quality of service was taken into account.
My room was located facing Michigan Road, and there was some road noise, but it was minimal. If someone is sensitive to this, they might request a room facing the other direction. I would return to this hotel and would recommend it. Kids will enjoy the holidome, business travelers will like the location (doing business in the Pyramids? This is the ideal place...walk to your appointment!).
