Doubletree Hotel Sacramento: Choose another hotel to stay A review of DoubleTree by Hilton Sacramento

I agree with the reviewer who says the hotel is in dire need of remodeling. Our room was old, worn, and the bathroom is horribly old as well. The furniture has seen better days and is of the prefab. kind.

Yes, the hotel is being remodeled but the review dated 11/03 did not mention that it's the lobby that's being remodeled currently. We have just completed a stay this past week. What rooms are being remodeled-we only noticed the lobby was.

Just be forwarned that if you do choose to stay here, staff is indifferent in their services. We've had kind desk staff one time and indifferent ones the next.

However, the worst part of this hotel, more than the ugly and poorly maintained rooms (our door hinge fell off plus a/c didn't work properly in summer), is their AWFUL breakfast buffet. You pay $10.25 for some scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon, sausage, bread and bagels that are stale, pastries that looked like they were bought at Costco, a few pale "fresh" fruit, overcooked oatmeal, and yogurt. The staff doesn't replace the fruit and yogurt frequently.

This is a very large hotel and it appears that management doesn't have a clue as to how to handle its maintenance and service properly.

I highly doubt we will stay here again. There are other nicer large hotels within the vicinity.
