Don't Understand the Bad Ratings A review of Vacation Village at Bonaventure
We LOVED the Vacation Villas @ the Weston Bonaventure. We stayed for a week a year ago and liked it so much we went back for this year's spring break. We were in the Crane Building, which was convenient to the main Weston Pool. (Which is heated). Loved the deep oversized jacuzzi in the master bedroom and the big screen tv in the living room.
They did have full cable, including HBO. Units are well maintained and offer all the creature comforts of home.
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Asked for directions to a Captain Dewey's in Fort Lauderdale. The check-in manager asked if I meant "Catfish Deweys" and I asked if it was on Andrews. If so, that's the one I wanted. She looked it up in the yellow pages and called the restaurant for directions for me.
Both years that we've stayed there, I saw staff constantly cleaning public areas.
I do agree that even with maps, it's difficult to find the other buildings. I needed dishwasher soap and it took me 20 minutes of driving around to find the Heron building which has the main housekeeping office.
We have major vacations planned for the next 3 years, but will definately go back when we can.
