Don't Let the Name Fool You A review of America's Best Value Inn - Executive Suite Hotel
Don't let the name fool you -- no executive would stay here. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the room left much to be desired. I left after the first night.
The suite wasn't clean by most standards. Around the floor edges there was dirt and dust and morsels of food. Most top surfaces (for example, lamp bases, stove hood, television) hadn't been properly cleaned for quite awhile. The kitchen was filthy with dirty cabinets, stove and oven that haven't been cleaned in months, and a dirty coffee maker. In the bathroom the shower walls seemed a bit scummy and the toilet had urine stains.
The furniture was well-worn and uncomfortable. In bed I rolled to the center of the mattress. The living room sofa, chair, and lamps definitely should have been retired long ago.
From what I could gather, Executive Suite caters primarly to longer-term renters who are not always in town, such as oil company workers who work on and off up on the North Slope, but who may not plan to permanently relocate to Alaska.
Executive Suite is not recommended for the tourist traveler.
