Don't bring your kids A review of Semiahmoo Resort
We spent 2 nights at Semiahmoo in late February and, although the hotel was lovely, we were very disappointed at the hot tub age restriction. One employee said that the age limit was 14 and winked at my 12 year old daughter saying, "You look 14, right?" However the next morning when we were in the hot tub, even though we were the only ones in the pool area, another employee walked by and told her to get out as the age limit was 18. The pool was too cold for usb to take, so the kids felt like they had nothing to do, as pool time tends to be their primary activity when we stay at hotels.
One other minus was the wait time at Packers, one of the restaurants. We were told that, since we had minors, we would have to wait for a table in a certain section of the restaurant. This meant that several parties who came after us were seated before us as they weren't restricted on where they could sit and we had a very long wait.
The hotel may be more kid friendly during a warmer time of year when kids would spend more time on the beach and in the pool and wouldn't miss using the hot tub so much.
