Does a Mandarin Hotel really need a review? A review of Mandarin Oriental, Prague
If you know Mandarin, you know to expect a beautiful property with first class service and everything to be near perfect. For those of you not familiar with the chain below is my review of their new Prague property opened a month ago. Stayed in a basic King room, but still large and beatifully appointed. Everything you could need done in a luxurious style but in keeping with the setting of the hotel itself which is an old Abbey right in the heart of Mala Strana in Prague - minutes walk from Charles Bridge and the heart of all the main sites. The bathrooms are exquisite - marble, beautiful amenities, bidet - the works. The beds are luxurious and the furnishings modern oriental in typical Mandarin style. The service was extremely lovely, friendly and accommodating. All in all a wonderful experience. The only two things that could be improved is a that the room lights were a little tricky and all were controlled by just one switch making it difficult to have only some lights on, and the Concierge team while extremely gracious and friendly could be a little more well versed on directions, restaurant reccommendations and overall information.
