Disliked lodging at Quality Inn A review of Quality Inn Gettysburg Motor Lodge
My husband and I love Gettysburg and our previous visits have been wonderful, however on our last visit the Quality Inn on Steinwehr Ave. booked a tour bus of very loud troublesome young people who purchased cap guns and poceeded to "shoot" each other from early morning till well after dark. They ran all over the property shouting and screaming. The bus was parked paralell to our room and took up seceral parking spots as well as our own and idled for ten minutes at a time, filling our room with fumes. These were not children, they were about 15-16 years old and old enough to know better. Chaperones were no where to be found and upon complaining at the desk (in a very nice way) we were told, sorry, we have no security, find a different parking spot, we can't do too much about it, etc. Upon our checkout, the motel did remove one night's charges from our bill but I would never stay there again, I will use the motels that don't book rowdy tours. We do plan to return for our fifth visit to Gettysburg in the late spring and we are very much looking forward to spending more time in this beautiful historic town. We love the restaurants, shops, people, attractions but most of all the history.
