Disappointment in DC A review of Hilton Crystal City at Washington Reagan National Airport
Looking for a reasonably-priced hotel in the Washington, DC area is not easy, and I thought I would be safe staying at a Hilton hotel. We paid $89 per night, and I found out quickly that you get what you pay for. The room was not clean, hair on the toilet (!) According to their guest amenity book, they are supposed to offer free shuttle rides to the nearest Metro station. The first time we requested this service, we were dropped (along with a couple pilots) at Reagan Airport and told to catch the Metro there - NOT the nearest station! The next day, we asked for the shuttle again and were told that they don't offer shuttles to the Metro. If this is the case, they shouldn't advertise that they do. I guess we just got lucky that first day. Dinner was good, as was breakfast. In the future, however, I will definitely pay more to get better service.
