Disappointing given its rating A review of The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, a Doubletree by Hilton Hotel

Although the lobby is very nice and the connection via skywalk is a bonus, I was very disappointed in what was supposed to be a 4-star experience--especially since I booked a Club Level room. The hotel claims on its website that club level rooms have extra amenities but that does NOT apply during the weekend, even if you plan to stay the week. They apparently remove the "plush robe" and the 'upgraded amenities' promised in the description of the room--the bath amenties were cheap-looking and tiny. The Club Lounge is open Sunday evening through Thursday only. After a call to the manager, I did receive a robe on Sat night, but had to ask for coffee amenities as well, although they are supposed to be standard. I expect much more from a hotel, especially when I am staying more than one night and am a member of the frequent guest program.
