Disappointing, at best A review of Sheraton Anchorage Hotel
My husband and I planned the last two nights of our honeymoon in Anchorage, after our cruise.Almost immediately upon arrival to the Sherton Anchorage, we began making phone calls to see about another hotel in Anchorage or to see about leaving Anchorage early. The rooms were large, however, they were OLD, dark and very poorly decorated. There was simply nothing inviting about them at all! The view from the room was undesirable, at best, and this put a major damper on our last two nights of our honeymoon. This hotel needs MAJOR updating. Also, we came and went from our room several times throughout the day. The room next to ours ordered room service for breakfast and eight hours later the tray was still sitting in front of the door. You could smell it down the hallway and it was gross.Honestly, I would go out of my way to tell people not to stay there if visiting Anchorage.
