Disappointing and Overpriced A review of Ledgelawn Inn
We stayed in the "cheapest room" (their words)which was $165.00. The room was fairly nice and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom needs some work...the wallpaper is in desparate need of replacement and the sink was falling off the wall. We reported this to the staff, but they did not seem concerned. The young man at the check in was polite, but not well informed (not necessarily his fault). Check in time was 3:00 ... when we returned from our Acadia trip at 4:30, we found housekeeping staff still making up our room. There were no afternoon refreshments available which is the norm for most nicer inns and would have been welcomed while we waited for our room.
The breakfast was disappointing as this is one of the reasons we like to stay in B&B's. Bread, English muffins, some fruit and plain scrambled eggs and bacon.
While I did feel fortunate to find a room in Bar Harbor at the last moment, I would not chose this inn again
