Disappointed A review of Four Seasons Resort, Palm Beach
Just returned from four nights here and am disappointed because this hotel has problems that should not be found in a Four Seasons property. I had communicated before I arrived that I wanted to arrange for yoga classes and spa treatments ahead of time. I was told it would be addressed at check in. When I arrived the reception from the doorman on was incompetent. They knew nothing about my requests and my room preference was ignored. (At 795.00 a night I think I have a right to take issue) The room itself is not Four Seasons quality especially the bathroom. Towels and the duvet cover had stains! Every morning at 8:00 am the phone would ring and it was a wrong number, someone from housekeeping thinking I was working the floor and wanting to know which rooms were "mine" to clean. Room service was mediocre and the food was cold every meal. The mini bar was never restocked after the first day and someone was always trying to get into the room to clean early in the morning despite my desire to not be disturbed. Turndown service only occured if you called. Never got a newspaper in the morning. I attempted politely to remedy some of these problems and was treated with indifference or curtly. I have travelled extensively and one of my favorite hotels in the world is the Four Seasons Berlin where I return at least once a year. Four Seasons Palm Beach will not be on my return list.
