Disappointed A review of Country Cascades
Upon entering the lobby, the smell of chlorine from the indoor pool was nearly nauseating.
I presented a $10 per night off coupon (with no restrictions indicated on the coupon) and the clerk told me that we already had the discounted rate (internet) and they could not honor the coupon.
When I made our on-line reservation for a non-smoking room, I specifically included in the addtional comments section "Please ensure there has not been any smoking in the room!!!". When we checked in I specifically asked the desk clerk if the assigned room was a non-smoking room and did it reek of cigarettes - relpy was "No sir, if it does you just let us know." (I must look like a person who is hard of smelling!) It did in fact smell of smoke. Along with some story about them having trouble with a ball team smoking in n/smking rooms, we were given two other rooms to look at first hand and finally decided on the last room. The two-drawer dresser looked as if it had fallen down a flight of stairs - the bottom drawer would fall out when you pulled it out.
The breakfast was good and the desk clerk gave me a wireless network adapter to use on my laptop to access their high speed wireless network.
I would not stay here again.
