Dirty dirty dirty A review of Indian Wells Resort Hotel
We booked a last-minute Labor Day weekend stay through Hotels.
First, we will never use Hotels again. You must pre-pay for your stay in total, which normally should not be an issue, however, we had SO many problems with our ROOMS and had no recourse with the actual hotel.
The first room we received reeked of mothballs. We tried to air it out, but when we came back from dinner it was too much to bear. We asked to be switched to a different room. 30 minutes later when the new keys STILL had not arrived, we called down again and were told the guy had gone to the wrong room. Huh? 15 minutes or so and we get moved to a different room, but as we are cleaning up, we notice food trash in the trash cans that is not ours. When we get our new room at 11 pm, it smells better but still weird but we are dead tired. Open the closet to find someone else's clothes hanging there. When we crawl into bed, we notice someone else's hair on the pillow cases. We called down for new cases and another 20 minutes or so go by. In the meantime we open the patio door and find a half-drank bottle of beer on the balcony. While all this is going on, a knock comes at the door. It's another couple who was given our room -- luckily they heard us talking and did not barge in...wonder if their keys would have worked??? I'm sure they had an interesting conversation at the front desk. This has to be the laziest housekeeping staff I've ever encountered, holiday weekend or not. The staff was obviously lax and could have cared less when I told them of our problems. We were so grossed out that we skipped our second and last pre-paid night and checked out. Skip this joint or bring your own cleaning supplies and clean linens.
