Dirty, depressing, skip it A review of Twin Dolphin Inn
We stayed one night over spring break 2004, and had reserved two "view" rooms. The lobby is dark and smoke-filled, and the carpets filthy. The manager complained bitterly that arriving at 9 p.m. (which we'd pre-arranged) was too late, and an imposition. He informed us that the amenity, the hot tub (a tiny one) is only open from 4pm until 9pm, which for a cold, foggy area would have been nice to be able to use.
The view rooms faced the bay, but being on the second floor all we saw was a view of a very ugly, noisy, dingy street. The rooms had new wallpaper and decorations, but the carpet was filthy, the beds awful, and the smell of smoke in a non-smoking room pervasive. I hope that if you have to stay in Morro Bay, you can find somewhere that is clean and friendly, at least. It has 3 AAA stars, which should be revoked.
