Did not like the W A review of Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter

I just returned from a one night stay at the W. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews. I stayed in a standard room which was decent size but very stark with white walls and little in the way of decorations. The furniture was very worn and reminded me of low end IKEA furnishings with scratches and water stains. Besides the bed, the only other place to sit was on a lounge chair in the far corner of the room. The bathroom had a nice shower but was very small with only one sink and little room to move around. There was no shower door which created a nice look but it was very easy to flood the small bathroom. The tv was old and probably 25 inch in size. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the linens and pillows were nice. There was a combined dvd/vcr player and a cd player in the room.

The cooling was very irratic and every time the ac came on it would blow right on you which was annoying. The lobby was very active with a busy night life and it was walking distance to a large mall but I didn't get to see it. Overall the hotel felt like a Holiday INN which had be redone with dark lighting and contemporary furniture. I must say overall I was expecting much more.
