Delightful and excellent B&B A review of Headlands Inn Bed & Breakfast
We first stayed at the Headlands Inn in 1995 for an Easter holiday and loved it and Mendocino itself so much that we returned every year, sometimes twice a year, for several years afterwards - despite the fact that we live 5000 miles away! The owners then were perfect innkeepers providing a warm welcome, local information and faultless attention to detail that made for a outstanding B&B experience. For us the Headlands Inn became, in effect, the benchmark by which we judged all other B&Bs.
Sadly, in 1998, they moved on and the new owner wasn't able to continue with the standards that had been set. Although we continued to stay there from time to time, it was clear that it wasn't the same Headlands Inn we'd enjoyed in the past.
However, in 2003, the Inn was sold again and we stayed there for the first time since then in August this year (2004). We are delighted to report that the new owners are excellent, once again providing a warm welcome and excellent service that we had enjoyed in the past.
We've always loved the Headlands Inn and can now, once again, recommend it unreservedly.
