Cozy log cabins by the ocean A review of Kalaloch Lodge
We stayed at Kalaloch Lodge in early Nov, 2003.The lodge, located on a bluff off highway 101, has log cabins as well as rooms in the main lodge, all within sight of the beach and Pacific ocean. We took advantage of their off-season special of 2 nights for the price of one ($97) for certain non-beach view cabins. We could still see a little stretch of the beach from our cabin. The cabins are well furnished, with wood-burning furnaces and electric heater, a fridge, stove and cooking utensils. While not exactly luxurious, the cabins were comfortable and rustic. The views of the log-filled beach and creek, a few steps down from the cabins, was fabulous. The hotel reception folks were helpful and courteous. Restaurant food was very good (dinner menu included at least one vegetarian and several meat, poultry and seafood dishes). Restaurant service was excellent as well.
